  • The City is excited to announce the completion of a new gateway monument at the Orangethorpe Avenue interchange on State Route 57, a vibrant addition that celebrates Placentia's unique history and identity. This 20-foot-by-20-foot art installation by renowned artist Cliff Garten draws inspiration from the circular motion of highway ramps and pays homage to our city’s heritage, including nods to orange crate labels and historic water towers. This $1.6 million project was made possible through Governor Newsom’s Clean California initiative, and we extend a sincere thank you to Caltrans for their incredible partnership in bringing this vision to life. The new gateway is a testament to the transformative power of public art, furthering Clean California’s mission to beautify communities across the state. It joins other artistic enhancements in Placentia, including vibrant murals by local artist Man One. Thank you, Caltrans, for your commitment to enhancing Placentia and Orange County through this initiative! https://lnkd.in/gcVjEC4p
