  • We're taking a look back at the incredible journey of Sterling Heights' college internship program, where 19 emerging talents were placed within City Hall, the Police Department, Parks & Recreation and more. During their time with us, they were able contribute to strategic projects, gain real world experience working on both long-term and short-term initiatives and offer fresh perspectives on everything from public safety and our Master Plan to fun and inclusive recreation opportunities and everything in between. Though many are returning to school this fall, we hope that, as they transition into their early careers, they’ll #LookNoFurther than Sterling Heights.

  • In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, we’re celebrating all the remarkable women within our city offices who have made a profound impact, both out in the community and behind the scenes. From all of the dedicated staff at PD and FD ensuring our community's safety, to the hardworking individuals at DPW beautifying our neighborhoods and maintaining our local roads, to the passionate team at the Library sparking our love for reading, and those behind the scenes at Parks & Rec creating engaging programs, as well as everyone in City Hall ensuring smooth operations and services – we celebrate and express our gratitude for all of your contributions and leadership!
