Laminating Aluminum Extrusion. This was a common practice not long ago, but more and more, exhibit designs hide the extrusion or feature it via a bright powder-coated color. Think red, blue, and yellow. The adhesive is applied both to the #aluminum and to the #laminate. Once the two surfaces touch, the bond happens almost immediately which is why pre-alignment is critical. The spacers allow the technician to make fine adjustments before the two surfaces touch. Years ago, Glenna Martin, Classic's Graphic Design Manager, was asked to create (4) large posters showing our most common ClassicMODUL engineered aluminum extrusions. It was a tedious and thankless task, which to Glenna's credit, she accepted graciously. These posters still amaze us even now... and we see them everyday on the shop floor and in the project managers and detailers offices. The details, the organization, the colors, and the messaging are perfect as a quick guide to our wide assortment of aluminum extrusions. Although we've added and deleted extrusions over the years which are not reflected in this poster, it's still a valuable tool. Not only for the information, but quite frankly, as artwork to an appreciative audience at Classic Exhibits. Thanks Glenna.
