Did you know? The average tourist generates 1.6 kg of waste per day. Much of which ends up in landfill. With millions of travelers worldwide, the hospitality industry has a huge opportunity to turn this waste into something positive. By embracing recycling and responsible practices, together we can reduce environmental impact and drive meaningful change. At Clean the World, we help hotels recycle soap, repurpose plastic waste, and create circular solutions that benefit both the planet and communities in need. Small changes add up. Let's make a difference together! #Recycling #HospitalityIndustry #Impact #MaketheWorldaBetterPlace

Today we celebrate Global Community Engagement Day by highlighting the ways our hotel gives back to our local community. Here are some ways in which are making an impact: ⭐ Our housekeeping team collects used soap and sends it to Clean the World, helping communities without access to soap, and reducing our carbon footprint. ⭐ Supporting the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals through fun events like Jeans Day, Root Beer Float Day and bake sales. Associates are also able to contribute biweekly through personal payroll donations. ⭐ We are proud to donate to Covenant House and La Tablée des Chefs (Vancouver Food Runners and Atira Women's Resource Society) to help fight food insecurity in our local community. ⭐ Our TakeCare Committee dedicates time to clean up our community and assist at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Giving back is at the heart of what we do. Together, we’re making a difference. #CommunityEngagementDay

🚨Help Assemble Hygiene Kits for California Wildfire Relief🚨 The Hughes Fire, which ignited on Wednesday near Castaic, California, has rapidly consumed over 10,200 acres and is currently only 14% contained. In response, The WASH Foundation is continuing to collaborate with partners to provide essential hygiene kits to those affected. Why Join Clean the World’s Hospitality Program? We are proud to partner with over 8,300 hotels worldwide to recycle soap and plastic bottled amenities that would otherwise end up in landfills. The soap we collect undergoes a rigorous process to be transformed into new bars, which are then distributed to communities in need, helping to combat hygiene-related diseases such as pneumonia and diarrhea – two of the leading causes of death among children under 5 years old. According to the World Health Organization, millions of young lives could be saved with access to bar soap and hygiene education. Yet, more than 2 million bars of partially used hotel soap are discarded every day in the United States alone. Read the testimonial from our proud partner, Six Senses Douro Valley in Portugal, below. Together, we can make the world a better place. 🌍 #Sustainability #ESG #CleantheWorld #Recycling #WasteReduction #SDGs #SixSenses #Circularity #HospitalityImpact

HOTEL SOAP ➡️ SAVING LIVES 🧼🙌 5 million bars of soap are thrown away every day by hotels in the United States alone! This company is turning this waste into new soap and is donating it to those who need it. Share this video to support this amazing project! We recently visited one of Clean the World’s recycling operations centres in Florida and were amazed by the incredible work they are doing. If you like seeing projects like this make sure to follow along with us at Going Green Media 💚 The soap is sorted, refined and sanitised before being compressed into new bars, and with the help of Carlos, who's been here almost since the beginning, they have so far managed to upcycle 85 million bars of soap! They are also constantly partnering with other small businesses innovating different ways to recycle the plastic bottles from hotel toiletries to create things like new, refillable bottles and even bricks for construction! The soap bars are sent to various international NGO partners providing access to hygiene products to millions, as well as are used in bigger hygiene kits sent around the world. In response to the recent LA fires, Clean the World’s partner NGO, The WASH Foundation have sent thousands of hygiene kits to those impacted in California. Hygiene-related illnesses are among the top two causes of childhood mortality worldwide. Solutions like this are having a huge impact on not just reducing waste, but also in saving lives! #goinggreen #innovation #sustainable 📸: Ciara Doyle Ben Brown Going Green Media
