Climate Action Pathways for Schools partners with schools to provide climate education & reduce greenhouse gas emissions
About us
Climate Action Pathways for Schools partners with schools to provide inspiring climate education programs and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. We develop project-based learning programs to prepare students for highly- skilled career pathways and help them develop projects that mitigate climate change. At the same time, these projects reduce operating costs for school districts. We aim our climate action program primarily towards under-resourced schools. We work in close collaboration with district leadership, the business office, and operations, and educational services teams to develop a climate action plan. The plan provides a 10-year roadmap to achieve the goals of the CAPS program.

🌟 What Your Support Makes Possible 🌟 Thanks to your support, CAPS interns are transforming school nutrition and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in Porterville Unified School District (PUSD). Through the Farm to School Incubator Grant Program, CAPS interns are: - Partnering with local farmers to bring fresh, sustainable ingredients to school cafeterias. - Educating their peers about sustainable agriculture and climate-friendly food practices. - Helping reduce food waste through creative solutions like partnering with The Ugly Company to distribute discarded fruits. Programs like these not only connect students with the source of their food but also foster healthier eating habits and career pathways in California's growing green economy. 🌿 💚 Be part of this impactful change by donating today: https://buff.ly/47wY0Wk #SustainabilitySkills #ClimateAction

Empowering tomorrow’s green leaders 🌱 CAPS is opening a new chapter in our work with Modesto City Schools and Petaluma City Schools, where student-led climate-action projects are driving change in energy efficiency, waste management, and air quality. To enhance this work, we proudly welcome Juli Miller as the new program manager for Northern California districts. Juli is connecting student interns in these districts with community partners to advance data-driven sustainability initiatives, offering students hands-on experience in green careers.
