What a great event! 🌿 This weekend's ClimateHack Energy Run in Nairobi was truly AMAZING. I had a fantastic time preparing for it and connecting with so many passionate individuals in the climate tech space. It was inspiring to see the immense interest in climate initiatives and the vibrant energy within Nairobi's climate ecosystem. Events like these not only foster exchange but also showcase the incredible potential Nairobi holds. A huge thank you to Claire Baker from BioLite for sharing her insights on off-grid renewable energy technologies and the challenges and opportunities in their adoption. Your expertise and enthusiasm were truly motivating. :) It was also a blast hearing from the startups and their innovative pitches. Shoutout to Fabio Rappenecker from TenX Nutrition for those delicious mandazis - I've been getting nonstop requests for more! 😅 Big thanks to Joseph Nguthiru from M-Situ, Felix Ochuoga from Heko Pay, and Kevin Banister from Adinia for sharing your exciting projects. Can't wait to see what the future holds for all of you! 🥳 A big shoutout to the Ongoza, BFA Global, SNDBX | The Village Experts (Cynthia Mbari), and Hindsight Ventures teams for showing up and supporting the event. It's always uplifting to see fellow ecosystem builders coming together to push the climate tech agenda forward. Kudos to my fellow ClimateHack NBO ambassadors, Asad A. and Kevin Banister, for their amazing work and to Coline Jeannet and the entire ClimateHack team for their unwavering support. It's great to know we have such a solid team backing us. 😊 A special thank you to Janet Kali, Monica Pun (The FutureList), Tracy Nzilani (Small Foundation), Cynthia Omondi (Talanton), Winfred Kiarie (Business Sweden), Mike Juste Rutomera (E3 Capital), Phylis Njongoro (VestedWorld), Cynthia Winki (Beyond Capital Ventures), Imali Asena, Ruth Muthoni (Odyssey Energy Solutions), Ida Mong'are (Acumen Resilient Agriculture Fund (ARAF), Doreen Muthoni (Mercy Corps Ventures), and every founder, investor, and ecosystem builder I connected with at the event.
