What a great event! 🌿 This weekend's ClimateHack Energy Run in Nairobi was truly AMAZING. I had a fantastic time preparing for it and connecting with so many passionate individuals in the climate tech space. It was inspiring to see the immense interest in climate initiatives and the vibrant energy within Nairobi's climate ecosystem. Events like these not only foster exchange but also showcase the incredible potential Nairobi holds. A huge thank you to Claire Baker from BioLite for sharing her insights on off-grid renewable energy technologies and the challenges and opportunities in their adoption. Your expertise and enthusiasm were truly motivating. :) It was also a blast hearing from the startups and their innovative pitches. Shoutout to Fabio Rappenecker from TenX Nutrition for those delicious mandazis - I've been getting nonstop requests for more! 😅 Big thanks to Joseph Nguthiru from M-Situ, Felix Ochuoga from Heko Pay, and Kevin Banister from Adinia for sharing your exciting projects. 80 people joined us for the ClimateHack Energy run this weekend in Nairobi Gathering in the beautiful Karura Forest. We heard from Claire Baker, a renewable energy expert from BioLite who shared the latest off-grid renewable energy technologies, implementation and adoption challenges and the role of public-private partnerships in accelerating adoption Along with a 5k run or 3k walk through the forest. And the opportunity for any of the attendees to take part with a 30-second pitch to the audience. Nairobi's first ClimateHack Energy Run was made possible thanks to Florent Nduwayezu, Kevin Banister and Asad A.. See you next time 🇰🇪
