Join NUCA: National Utility Contractors Association, Aves Construction Corp, and CloudRig on June 12 at 2pm ET for "Punching Above Your Weight: Using Tech to Beat the Skills Gap". Since we started CloudRig two years ago, we haven't met a single contractor struggling for work. But almost every contractor we've talked to is struggling to find the people and install the processes required to improve their margins. Join Stan Heidmann and JP Spence to see how Aves, a leading utilities contractor out of Washington, DC, is using CloudRig address these challenges and drive record profits in just a few months on the platform. This is for owners, Ops, PMs, and execs that have ever thought— 💰 I'm clearing more revenue than ever before, but my profits aren't going up as fast 🔍 I can't keep my finger on the pulse of all my jobs ❓ I'm making money now but I don't know how I'll keep it up in a downturn 👷♂️ I'd like to better set and track targets in the field, but I've got working foremen—they'll never buy in Register here: https://lnkd.in/eBY4qkWE

  • Software companies make you "Smarter and Faster." Construction conferences evidently make you "Bigger and Better." Stop by Booth 227 at CFMA's Annual Convention and you just might walk away all four. Bonus—if you're a financial management professional in construction, your ERP is probably driving you crazy (expensive, slow, hard to use, short on insights). Here's part 2 of our article on how to fix it, without a long and expensive rip and replace (many thanks to Philip Constantino for a big hand in writing this)—https://lnkd.in/e664pFKb

  • "What should I do about my ERP? Are there better options out there?" Contractors are struggling with their ERPs, if the frequency with which we hear this question is any indication. In the lead up to CFMA, we're putting out a two-part guide on - ERP challenges most contractors face - How we got here - Lessons we can learn from other industries - How to get going on a solution Check out Part 1 here: https://lnkd.in/dwHruRJE

  • Looking forward to seeing everyone at NUCA’s Annual Convention later this week. If you’re a contractor that’s interested in— Understanding in real time where you're making money, losing money, and why, Improving how you manage and dispatch your crews, and Reducing risk with clients and regulators, Then we’ll see you at Booth 401! Also, for the #humaninterest, here’s Carlos decked out in his CAT hat squeezing in a few more lines before the doors opened last year.

  • For a lot of contractors, evaluating software looks like 🚩 5 vendors for every one thing you need 🚩 Pitches that all sound the same 🚩 Acronyms that change in real time 🚩 Shiny demos 🚩 Go-live risks Sound familiar? This guide's for you. We'll try to demystify the process and give you the tools you need to keep the software guys in check. https://lnkd.in/esYrxr99

  • Two of our favorite parts of the job— 1. Working with visionary execs to unlock growth and profits. 2. Getting the relieved "This is so much easier than the last system" from foremen at the end of field training. Harley, Brad, Chuck, and co are building a juggernaut at Stella May Contracting, Inc., which keeps gas, water, and electricity running across the Mid-Atlantic. Stella May is one of the fastest-growing contractors on the East Coast—and it just went live (in one week!) with CloudRig to power that growth. Stella May and CloudRig together equip the field to plan and execute their work effectively and execs and PMs to track productivity and profits daily. We hear "software is just another tool" from contractors a lot, and we agree. Are you getting what you want out of your tools lately?

  • We're hot off the heels of a successful go-live with our newest customer (stay tuned for updates), and we can't wait to hit the road for 2024 events and trade shows. We'll kick off this Wednesday with NUCA of Metro D.C.'s Supplier Showcase. NUCA has been a fantastic partner in our home market, and we're looking forward to catching up with customers and friends tomorrow. After that, we're off to California for NUCA's 2024 Annual Convention. What trade shows and events are on your calendar this year?
