Set along the Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman Kimpton Seafire got its name from the setting sun appears to set the ocean aflame. Going for a modern take on the Caribbean. Native limestone and plant materials are used throughout, supporting the contemporary interconnecting arcs that form many of the lines in the aquatic space. The colors of the Caribbean Sea and local flowers are referenced in turquoise interior finishes and colorful surrounding furniture. The three primary areas serve different kinds of clients. The main area includes three terraced pools, each mimicking the ocean’s turquoise waters. They include a general-purpose recreation for all ages, a plunge pool for adults seeking some distance, and a shallower children’s play pool with beach entry and interactive sprays. Two more secluded areas appeal to adults. The Oasis Pool provides a quiet retreat in a garden setting. An indoor health spa features a hydrotherapy pool with infinity edges and bench seating. A rain curtain serves as a subtle divider between male and female sides of the health spa and adds soothing sounds. We are honored to be named the winner of the 15th annual Danfoss' EnVisioneer of the Year competition in the consultant category! The award recognizes the recirculating river system for Montgomery Whitewater Center in Alabama that minimizes water waste and reduces environmental impact.
