We are thrilled that the MRSD Open House appears to be a tradition now! 🌟 The second-year cohort set up booths & demos focused on their team Capstone projects. The first-year students, who are wrapping up team formation & project selection, got an idea of what’s in store for them in 2025. After the demos, both cohorts gathered to create even stronger connections – via a pizza party, of course. This event was a fantastic opportunity for current students to connect, share project insights, and form new friendships. Thank you so much to the MRSD Class of 2025 for coordinating it all!

MRSD is an advanced robotics graduate degree from The Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University.
About us
MRSD is a 2-year Masters program focused on robotics and systems engineering, with a touch of business skills as the cherry on top. There are 450+ MRSD alumni in the robotics industry, working hard to make this world a better place! Graduates of MRSD are expected to have a high-level of technical and managerial competence with an understanding of innovative technical product development, team management, and overall leadership, drastically reducing the on-the-job training that companies typically invest into an employee. The students are also at the forefront of entrepreneurship in robotics, with a curriculum that emphasizes the technical and interpersonal skillset to take a robotic solution from ideation through validation, prototype, production, and beyond.

What a wonderful evening with the MRSD Alumni in Boston! Thank you to all who came out to visit and catch up. As the third most popular post-grad destination, Boston has been on our list for a while. We were certainly due for a visit - and the fierce competition during MRSD Trivia did not disappoint.
