  • Today is the last day of our December fundraiser, and we can’t thank you enough for your generosity. As of today, supporters like you have raised over $9,000 in one-time gifts! Your donations are the reason why we can continue our one-of-a-kind work to make homeschool safe. If you haven’t given to our December fundraiser yet, it’s not too late. Thanks to matching gifts, every dollar you give today doubles, powering our training programs, resource creation, and advocacy work. Help us end 2024 strong with your gift of any amount today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

    • A better, safer world for homeschooled children is possible, thanks to supporters like you.
  • To our fellow homeschooled people: You’re why we do what we do. As the new year approaches, our goal is to do even more for you — more resources, more peer spaces, more stories, more support. To get it done, we’ll need all the help we can get. Even small donations, one time or monthly, make a big difference in our ability to show up for our community. And during the month of December, every dollar you give doubles thanks to the generosity of our matching donors. If you can, we’re asking you to consider giving today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

  • Sarah’s story is devastating. But unfortunately, it isn’t uncommon. Too many homeschooled people are struggling to live independent lives because their parents refused to give them birth certificates or Social Security numbers. That’s why we want to create a free resource to help homeschooled people get these vital IDs. Over the past 11 years, we’ve helped many homeschooled people start the process. A new resource would empower them to get more help even faster. But we can’t do this without you. By becoming a monthly donor, you give us the support we need to make resources for our community. We’re looking to raise $250 in new monthly gifts by January 1, and every dollar makes a difference. Give today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

    • My parents deprived me of a Social Security number and birth certificate because they believed they would give the government ownership of me. I am unable to attend any school, drive, get a job, or get a background check.
  • What happens when child abuse and homeschooling intersect? It’s a question with life-or-death stakes. That’s why we’re training social workers, nurses, investigators, and other professionals who work with children how to recognize and prevent child abuse in homeschool settings. Your donation this December helps us keep that training program going. Thanks to matching gifts, every dollar you give doubles up to $12,500 through December 31. Don't miss your chance to double your impact! Give today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

  • This holiday season, you can give the gift of a safer, better world for homeschooled children. Your donation to CRHE powers our one-of-a-kind work to advocate for better laws, train professionals to help at-risk homeschooled children, and create resources for adults who were homeschooled. And thanks to generous matching gifts from three donors, every dollar you give CRHE in December doubles, up to $12,500. Your donation’s impact will go twice as far! So far, supporters like you have given over $7,100 in one-time gifts and $87 in recurring gifts to support our work. That means we need $5,400 in one-time gifts and $163 in recurring gifts to meet our goal. The clock is ticking – help us reach our goal before January 1 with your gift of any amount today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

  • At CRHE, our community means everything to us. Homeschooled children and formerly homeschooled adults are why we do what we do. That’s why we’re planning to make some exciting changes to our resource library next year. Right now, many of the resources on our website focus on the parents of homeschooled children. In 2025, we want to develop more guides, community spaces, and content for people like us — people who have been homeschooled themselves. To do that, we need your help. Since we launched our campaign on Giving Tuesday, supporters like you have raised an additional $87 in monthly donations to CRHE. Our goal is to gain an additional $163 in monthly donations by the end of the year. A monthly gift of any amount, big or small, helps us get there. Help us reach our goal by December 31. Give today:

  • What happens when child abuse and homeschooling intersect? It’s a question with life-or-death stakes. Child welfare professionals must know what to look for and how to help. That’s why we created our new child abuse recognition and prevention training program. Thanks to your generous gifts, we’ve trained nearly 300 people who work with children in law, medicine, education, and other fields to help the homeschooled children in their communities. CRHE is able to offer these groundbreaking training sessions at no cost to participants because of the support of people like you. Any amount you donate to us this December will double to power this training program and our mission as whole. Give today:

  • CN: child ab*se, d**th Did you know? In all 50 states, it's legal for a child to be withdrawn from school to be homeschooled during and after a child welfare investigation. This is a serious policy failure — and too many homeschooled children have paid a steep price for it. At CRHE, we’re the only organization in the country advocating for policy change to protect these children. Your gift of any amount helps us get the Make Homeschool Safe Act, our groundbreaking model legislation with protections for homeschooled children, in front of leaders who can help bring it to life across the country. • CN: mentions of child abuse, neglect As a homeschooled child in Minnesota, Hope M. was extremely isolated. Her parents wouldn’t allow her to make friends, talk to other adults, or go anywhere alone. That isolation made it easy for them to hide how they abused and neglected their children. And it made it impossible for Hope to get help. Hope’s story represents those of countless homeschooled children who waited for help that never arrived. And it’s why we created the Make Homeschool Safe Act, groundbreaking model legislation designed to protect homeschooled children. Among other things, this law would ensure every homeschooled children has guaranteed access to trained mandatory reporters for child abuse — professionals who know how to spot a problem and help. Right now, we’re working with Minnesota legislators on a bill that could change everything for the state’s homeschooled children. And with our nation’s political headwinds changing, more children are likely to be homeschooled than ever. The need for change to make homeschool safe has never been greater. Your support is crucial to turning this model legislation into law. Your monthly gift of any amount helps our team get the Make Homeschool Safe Act in front of leaders who can help bring it to life. Please give today: https://lnkd.in/eYP8ZdSF

    • If someone had been able to check on me, I would not have endured over a decade of abuse. Hope M., homeschool alum.
