Our Holiday Social turned up the heat - to 200 degrees! This was a Cogent Connections party we'll never forget. Guests traveled around Chimney Hill Estate, enjoying homemade sorbet in the sauna (don't knock it till you try it!), Greek charcuterie in the banquet hall, grilled kielbasa at the greenhouse, holiday chocolates, desserts from PNC, and spending time getting to know one another! We also gave out Cogent-branded holiday candles from Princeton Scent Branding! Networking on a Party Bus!? This was the most fun I've had at a professional event in my entire life! Kelly Wernersbach and Jeff Collins had the brilliant and original idea to get 40 networkers together on a Party Bus for an 8-stop party bus networking crawl that would take us to different business across South Jersey starting at Adjust Your Sleep Mattress Boutique When your day ends,Ours begins. Every business had a signature beverage and food item, and many had fun activities as well! And as if that wasn't cool enough, our day started with a reveal that this wouldn't be just any networking crawl...it was also a murder mystery party! One of our party-goers had "murdered" Albie Delgado, and each business stop would have a clue to help us find the culprit. I wouldn't have the space here to describe all the awesome things we did and encountered on Wednesday evening, but here are a few highlights. - Joe Gangemi got to try on an authentic Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl ring. - Kelly made sure that we sat with someone new every time we got back on the bus - by the end of the evening we all felt like old friends and were singing party songs together on the bus rides. - Scott Farkas played a suspiciously good "murderer"! - We met some incredibly cute dogs at the Animal Welfare Association that are hoping to find a new home. - Cogent Connections (Hillary Spivak (Shulman) and I) was honored with the opportunity to invite everyone into our space for one of the stops. - Great to see Steve Cooper and make so many new friends!!! (like Carrie Nelson and Maria Grande!) Let Kelly and Jeff know if you would like them to do another one of these and if you would want to join and/or host a stop! I know I would participate again in a heartbeat! I also hear some other organizations are already planning their own networking crawls... (not us)
