At CoLab, students meet online for 1 hour per week to work on team challenges. CoLab was founded by a team of educators, engineers and parents who wanted more from the modern education system. Our mission is to nurture children's curiosity, foster collaboration, and cultivate their problem-solving abilities. We're creating a community where kids can develop into compassionate and productive global citizens. Voted "Most Innovative Educational Project 2024" by 11k+ educators and parents at the Edufuturist awards

At CoLab each challenge is built with an intentional learning objective, designed to mimic a real world situation but delivered in a fun and engaging way 🎯 Our latest challenge, Betrayal on Thrinacia, does exactly this! The students are immersed in a game of trust and must identify the disloyal crew members while the betrayers work in the shadows to eliminate the loyal crew members one by one 🥷 In playing this game, our students will learn about #trust and develop their #secondorderthinking !
At the end of each CoLab session our expert facilitators create room for students to give each other shoutouts 💜. We do this because there’s evidence linking #gratitude to increased happiness, stronger relationships and improved physical health 🚀. After all, one of CoLab’s goals is to help our students develop into compassionate and productive global citizens 🌍.
At CoLab our expert facilitators guide, ask questions, and empower 💪 students to take control of their own learning journey 🗺️. Through the use of coaching techniques, our facilitators not only help students learn how to combine prior knowledge with thoughtful application, but also how to test out and iterate ideas through the process of experimentation 🧪. Join a cohort today and see how you can supercharge ⚡your child’s learning!
At CoLab we want to make education better but we know that we can’t do it alone. So we’ve been partnering 🤝 with purpose led 💡 innovators and thought leaders like FIRST LEGO LEAGUE CHALLENGE, Svitlo Education and the Edufuturists to kickstart an education revolution. Are there any bold, forward thinking educators that you think we should speak to? Let us know in the comments below 👇!
This week we start a new series of challenges themed around 🥁🥁🥁…….the Odyssey 🔱! In this series our students will be following in Odysseus’ footsteps 👣, escaping the isle of Ogygia, experiencing betrayal on Thrinacia and meeting the Lotus Eaters! Through playing these challenges, our students will better understand the concept of trust 🤝, become better at delegating and learn how to make effective decisions under time pressure ⏲️. If you're interested in taking part please reach out here or email us at hello@collborationlaboratory.com!
This week our students entered the🪞Mirrorverse, a realm where fairytales, legends, and paintings come to life. In our first encounter the students helped Robin Hood answer the question “does the end justify the means?”. Through this we explored the concept of perspective, how to understand and appreciate different points of view and how to approach problems from various angles. Are things always as they seem? Does it have to be ⬛ and ⬜ or can there be areas of grey? What can we ask to unlock different perspectives? We believe that delving deeper into this topic will help our students develop mental flexibility, better communication skills and empathy - skills needed for the modern 🌏 world!
Another happy family 😊 ! Thanks for sharing your CoLab experience James Marsh & Jessica Marsh - we loved having Leo join us and we're glad that our "Perspective" challenge has helped Leo with creative thinking, problem solving and teamwork! 👋 If you're a parent and would like to schedule a free CoLab trial, drop us an email at hello@collaborationlaboratory.com with the subject "Leo" 👋
Jessica Marsh & I were thrilled to see Leo dive into his first Collaboration Laboratory experience! He absolutely loved the problem-solving aspects, especially with the Robin Hood theme. No need for parent support, he was off! Watching him engage with critical thinking and teamwork was inspiring. It’s wonderful to see these skills being developed at such a young age! Thanks Alan Tang and team for your patience and personalised support. #collaboration #cooperation #CriticalThinking #CreativeThinking #ProblemSolving #21stCenturySkills #OnlineLearning #DigitalKids

We love how our facilitators are more than just coaches for our students; they're also guides 🕵♀️, mentors 👩🚀 , friends 🤝 and advisors 👨💻! Here's what one of our parents had to say: ✨ "I attach a poem [student] wrote recently about motivation. It lends to the question which you posed to the community. I thought it was a fitting tribute to you and how you have helped shape a young mind. You have been a great mentor, friend and sounding board for all the kids. [student] has grown as an artist and as an advocate for himself. I'm sure your voice will carry him through many uncertain moments in life." ✨
