This afternoon we visited the Marks and Spencer Produce & Floral Supplier & Grower Conference. Great to hear the ambitious plans to grow the sector, driving growth throughout the category. It was a surprise and honour to be given the award for Floral Grower of the Year. This is testament to our team who go above and beyond day in day out to deliver great quality and meet orders. Great to be recognised #teamwork #britishflowers

In store for the last week and looking great, our autumn tulips. Bulbs grown in New Zealand allow us to produce fantastic quality 'spring' flowers in the depths of autumn. What better way to brighten up your autumnal days than with a vibrant bunch of fresh British LEAF marque accredited tulips. #britishflowers #springtime

What a difference 10 years makes! in 2014 we relocated a block of glasshouses to our site and needed a solution for the roof water. We built this traditional plastic lined storage lagoon with a twist. With some careful design we also managed to create a wildlife habitat. A wet ditch at the top of the bank to allow emergent vegetation along with geotextile and soil on top of the liner below the water level. We also planted a range of native tree and hedgerow species around the banks. This has created a hugely valuable wildlife haven from a bare acre of arable land, adding much needed diversity in to the farm habitat. The second picture was taken last week, we have 17 red listed bird species sighted using the pond and surrounding area so far, not to mention the dragonflies, bats, butterflies, amphibians, mammals etc. The next step is laying the hedges this autumn to thicken them and improve the habitat still further, management for continual improvement. Plus we get to use the water for irrigation on our outdoor cropping. #winwin #farmwildlife #habitat LEAF (Linking Environment And Farming)

What a glorious spring morning in West Norfolk, the swallows are back on the farm and the soil is finally workable after an exceptionally wet winter (just in time for aster planting). First stocks are just breaking colour and we are still busy packing tulips #spring #britishflowers #busy
