Every time the SF City Hall building gets a lighting upgrade, the colors and the focus get sharper. LED tech continues to keep advancing that exciting cutting edge! This time we've replaced the upper fixtures on the facade, and I'm very pleased to report that SF City Hall got 10+ years of life from the original facade lighting project with CK fixtures that I led in 2014 for Arup. The bespoke fixtures on the 2nd floor have yet to start failing. Last week Left Hand Lighting was on-site to 1) focus the new lights and 2) ensure the old & new lights integrate together beautifully (it's sometimes not so simple to make a simple mono-colored building!), and 3) to consolidate and optimize the annual scenes displayed on the building.
