Get to Know Lauren Hinz: Executive Director, Market Insights at New York Blood Center Enterprises! Lauren joined NYBCe in November 2021 as Director of Business Analytics. Her innovative ideas and data-driven strategies have been crucial in recruiting and retaining blood donors. Recently promoted to Executive Director of market Insights, Lauren now leads a talented team that provides invaluable results data to shape new enterprise strategies. Her work continues to exceed expectations, driving our mission forward. Beyond work, Lauren enjoys yoga, hiking, reading, and watercolors. She holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a BBA in Business Economics from the University of North Texas. Dr. Mohandas Narla, DSc, Distinguished Scientist at New York Blood Center Enterprises (NYBCe), kicked off the 66th American Society of Hematology (ASH) American Society of Hematology Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA. As the 2024 ASH President and head of the Laboratory of Red Cell Physiology at NYBCe, Dr. Narla has made remarkable contributions to the study of red blood cell disorders, including hereditary spherocytosis, sickle cell disease, thalassemias, and malaria. His expertise in erythropoiesis, particularly in myelodysplasia and Diamond-Blackfan anemia, continues to shape the future of hematology research. #NYBCe #ASH #Hematology

After a devastating car accident, Alicia's life was saved thanks to a team of doctors, a dozen surgeries, and eight units of generously donated blood. 🌟 Employee Highlight: Morgan Welch 🌟 We’re proud to shine a spotlight on Morgan Welch, Account Manager at Community Blood Center, for the incredible work she’s done to support our mission over the last three years. Morgan has: ❤️ Organized 579 blood drives ❤️ Collected 20,058 pints of blood ❤️ Helped save up to 60,174 lives! These numbers speak for themselves, but what they really mean is that every donation Morgan has helped collect could save a NICU baby at Children’s Mercy, support a cancer patient at KU Med, or replenish blood for a car accident victim at University Health. Morgan, thank you for everything you do to encourage our donors and to help patients in need.
