Grateful for a morning filled with connection and community in Manchester! 💫 An early morning breakfast celebration for Families in Transition followed by an incredible event by Positive Street Art unveiling their 🫶 Center City Love Mural 🫶 that represents the idea "I'm With You" - which we all need to feel right now. The artist's work is a powerful reminder of what it means to stand together as a community—a sentiment that will resonate with me through this Thanksgiving weekend and beyond. It was equally meaningful to share this experience with my amazing Community Development Finance Authority colleagues: Mollie Kaylor and Katy Easterly Martey. Working with such talented and passionate individuals is truly something to be thankful for! CDFA made 117 investments in community-based projects, infusing $25.6 million into community development, economic development, and clean energy projects throughout New Hampshire in State Fiscal Year 2024. Information on CDFA's impact, as well as organizational and program highlights and activities, are detailed in its newly published 2024 Annual Report. Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington hosted the November 13 Governor and Council breakfast at CDFA’s office in Concord. CDFA’s Executive Director Katherine Easterly Martey had the opportunity to present the organization’s impact on New Hampshire’s housing crisis and critical infrastructure like community centers, as well as its work to advance statewide initiatives including the Council on Housing Stability, Community Navigator Pilot Program in support of small businesses and family-based child care. https://lnkd.in/esx_q_Ef

Grateful to New Hampshire Municipal Association for hosting my first (their 83rd!) municipal-focused conference! It was inspiring to connect with so many dedicated professionals, all working to make New Hampshire an even better place to live. The Friends Program Emergency Housing Shelter has completed its renovations and was rededicated on September 25th! This transformation was made possible by contributions from local businesses, community members, the New Hampshire Community Development Finance Authority, and more!  The shelter accommodates nine families and is considered “one of the most important facilities in Concord for families experiencing homelessness.” Mayor Byron Champlin emphasized.  Read more about the celebration in this article by Concord Patch. https://lnkd.in/ekNEyQYg  Want to see the rededication ceremony?
