The Community Education and Outreach Alliance (CEAOA) was formed to implement interventions that can effectively improve health in underserved populations. CEAOA consists of hospitals, healthcare systems, health departments, clinical offices, and support groups in Summit and Mecklenburg counties. We work together to provide comprehensive health and wellness programming to address risky health behaviors and chronic health conditions. We are committed to improving community health and will prioritize public health issues by developing a health and wellness implementation plan that focuses on community needs. CEAOA educates individuals about various health diagnoses, disorders, symptoms, treatment options, and available resources. We provide assistance to individuals by linking them to the necessary healthcare providers and services.

I'm sure that some of you remember when my husband, Ronnie spent a whole year and a day in the hospital, with nearly 4 months on life support. He endured over 30 surgeries, each one bringing a new level of uncertainty and fear. It was a year that shook us both to our core, and left us struggling with anxiety, depression, and PTSD. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to face such challenges, and that’s why I’m so passionate about our upcoming Empowering Minds Educational Program. This program is designed to help individuals and families, like mine, learn effective ways to cope with mental health struggles, while also providing support and tools for healing.
