Here are some tips I have learned to prioritize self-care and avoid burnout while leading a growing team: Set clear expectations and realistic goals: being clear with your team about what you expect from them, what they can expect from you, and who they can go to for answers in addition to tracking progress and recognizing their efforts is key Lead by example: if you as the leader prioritize self-care and promote work-life balance, your team is more likely to do the same Promote open communication: schedule regular touch points with team members to check in regarding their stress level, ability to balance work and life, and level of job satisfaction Delegate effectively: hiring administrative support and a leadership team has been invaluable as well as identifying strengths and interests of clinicians and reimbursing for task completion Be flexible: allowing clinicians to take time off as needed and respecting their time away is crucial Encourage self-care: promoting flexible schedules, autonomy regarding caseload and providing trainings on burnout prevention and conducting self-care assessments have been beneficial If you could use help with this in your group practice, schedule a free consult: https://lnkd.in/eq24f_ji or send me a message!
