Let me tell you a little story ... The image on the left is insurance broker "me" circa May 2014. Amy and I had just moved to Colorado and I was producing in a market where no one knew my name. Worse yet, I had zero clue how to market myself. No brand. No message. No confidence. I just wanted to fit in. Yep, you know the result. Little opportunity and tons of frustration. I'm happy to say it's much different today. The guy on the right is more confident with a better message. And no desire to fit in anymore. Does everybody like it? Hell no. And that's ok, because it works. Moving forward, having a personal brand is a requirement. If you're an insurance producer, you need a brand. If you're an agency owner, please let your producers be brands. "Well, this is just the way we've always done things" doesn't work anymore. Quit hiding. Quit stalling. Step up and stand out.
