The Concrete Strategies Kansas City shop hosted David Bussard of The G.W. Van Keppel Company on the morning of 12/10 for an in-depth training session on the Sterling LT950 Volumetric truck (T128), assigned to the KC MODoT Restoration crew. David traveled from Oklahoma City to spend four hours addressing questions and providing valuable insights on the deployment, operation, and maintenance of the Cementech volumetric truck. His expertise helped identify key challenges and solutions, enabling us to focus on maintenance, reduce downtime, and keep the unit running efficiently on the job. At Concrete Strategies, we believe in the power of community and supporting one another when it matters most. Recently, we had the honor of donating concrete and labor to build an ADA-compliant ramp for the mother-in-law of one of our valued employees. Diagnosed with ALS just six months ago, she now relies on a wheelchair, and we wanted to make her home a little more accessible and comfortable. This project was about more than concrete and construction; it was about showing compassion, unity, and the importance of taking care of those around us. We’re grateful to have had the opportunity to help and to stand alongside our employee during this challenging time. Together, we can make a difference, one step—or ramp—at a time.
