100% town participation. Over 600 schools. One incredible cause. 💛💙 This year, schools and communities across the region came together for #PJDay, raising funds to support kids battling cancer at Connecticut Children's. A huge thank you to Adam Rivers for visiting 20 schools across the state and handing out Dunkin' in celebration of PJ Day! 🍩 And a special shoutout to our presenting sponsor, Hyundai Hope On Wheels, and Gary Rome Hyundai for their incredible support in making Friday such a success. Together, we’re making a difference, one pair of pajamas at a time! #connecticutchildrens #PJDAY

Shining a light on Twin-to-Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS) 👶👶💙. This serious condition affects twins sharing a placenta, causing an imbalance in amniotic fluid, cardiac changes in the recipient, and the “stuck twin” appearance in the donor. But there's hope with fetoscopic laser photocoagulation — a cutting-edge treatment that closes off abnormal blood vessels with laser light to restore balance. Watch as our world-renowned surgeon demonstrates this life-saving procedure, bringing hope to families and ensuring the best possible outcomes for twins. 💙👶👶#ConnecticutChildrens #TTTS #LaserPhotoTherapy #FetalSurgery #WorldRenownedSurgeon #HopeForTwins 🌟

It's the season of giving! 💕🎁 Remember, not all toys are safe for kids - like magnetic toys or those fun-colored waterbeads. You can reduce the risk by being aware of current product recalls and reviewing the following safe purchasing tips: ❄️ Follow the toy’s age recommendation ❄️ Avoid giving young kids toys with small parts ❄️ Do not give children toys with sharp points or edges ❄️ Avoid long cords or strings ❄️ No to toys with magnets or button batteries ❄️ Avoid older painted toys ❄️ Always buy safety gear for riding toys #ConnecticutChildrens #BeyondImagination #ToySafety #InjuryPrevention #HolidayShopping #HolidayGifts #GiftsforKids #Toys 🎁 💕🎄

Twin-twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS) is a condition that can happen to identical twins who share a placenta. During pregnancy, here are some signs doctors find in an ultrasound that can indicate TTTS: 🔷 Different amounts of amniotic fluid: One twin has too much fluid (more than 8 cm) and the other has too little (less than 2 cm). 🔷 The twin with too much fluid may develop heart problems with decreased function 🔷 Abnormal Doppler waveforms in the umbilical artery and or vein 🔷 Different growth rates: discordance between the size of the twins may occur in TTTS or be due to associated fetal growth restriction which can complicate up to 65% of cases of TTTS If you know someone who is worried about their pregnancy and needs a second opinion, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team of fetal care experts. https://lnkd.in/diNkvYg3 #ConnecticutChildrens #FetalCare #TTTSAwareness #TwinTwinTransfusionSyndrome #TwinsPregnancy
