Congratulations to Michele Moura, PharmD, BCPS, BCCCP, the 2024 Greg Gousse Preceptor of the Year Award recipient! Dr. Moura is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the Neurosciences ICU at Yale New Haven Hospital. Originally from Shelton, Connecticut, she graduated from Northeastern University in 2017 and completed her PGY-1 Residency at Waterbury Hospital. In 2020, she joined YNHH as a multispecialty critical care pharmacist and later transitioned to her current role. Michele is board-certified in pharmacotherapy and critical care and precepts PGY-1 and PGY-2 residents for the Neurosciences ICU rotation. Congratulations to Gillian Kuszewski, PharmD, BCPS, FCPA the 2024 Pharmacist of the Year! Dr. Kuszewski is a proud UConn School of Pharmacy alum. She graduated with a PharmD in 2005, and currently, she is the University Director for Residency Programs at UConn Health, where she serves at the RPD for the PGY1 Pharmacy program and oversees the PGY2 program. She also serves as Co-Chair of UConn Health's Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee and is a preceptor for UConn APPE students in Medication Use Policy. Congratulations to Gary Thompson, RPh, the 2024 Paul G. Pierpaoli Award recipient! Dr. Thompson has worked at Waterbury Hospital since graduating from Northeastern University in 1978, with previous part-time experience at the Connecticut Counseling Methadone Clinic for 13 years. His primary role is in the Critical Care Unit, and he has served as Residency Program Director from 2014 to 2024, developed protocols for the Critical Care Committee, and participated in the Ethics Committee.
