🌟 🚨 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Mt. Horeb, WI - February 14th 👉🏽 Do you love our superstar conservation dogs? 👉🏽 Do you want to help us with our efforts to locate aquatic invasive species? 👉🏽 Are you looking for a hands-on way to help advance conservation efforts? Join River Alliance of Wisconsin and Upper Sugar River Watershed Association by volunteering in Mt Horeb, WI on Valentines Day, February 14, to take part in groundbreaking invasive species research! Our talented Finder-Keeper teams are officially getting back to work, sniffing out invasive New Zealand mudsnails in a few weeks. This year 6 Finder-Keeper teams will be involved with the development and research for this important work... and that means we need THOUSANDS of snails collected for teaching and testing. We need volunteers to pick out mudsnails from mud and gravel in stream samples. Snail identification training as well as gloves, magnifying lamps, and all other supplies (plus snacks!) will be provided. Can you help? 📅 Date: Wednesday, February 14th ⌚ Time: 12:30 - 3:30 p.m. 🗺 Location: Upper Sugar River Watershed Association conference room; 207 E Main Street, Mt Horeb, WI 53572 📧 RSVP by Monday, February 12th to River Alliance of Wisconsin's Climate Resilience Director, Ellen Voss, by emailing her at evoss@wisconsinrivers.org. A follow-up email will be sent to you with details. If you are unable to help, you can still help by cross posting this call for volunteers on your Facebook page! THANK YOU!!!
