Finding ways to stay motivated is a never-ending challenge. Here are 4 tips that will help keep you on top of your game: ㅤ 1. Reframe the circumstances. If you're losing motivation, think back to your "why." Giving yourself the opportunity to bring your values and passions back to the forefront can provide a refreshed perspective and offer a push during the slow periods. ㅤ 2. Learn from the past to prepare for the future. Use the quieter periods to reflect on the busy times and think about how you can better prepare yourself for future work. Logistically, it can help to examine your past methods and figure out how you might be able to tweak your past strategies to increase efficiency during the next busy period. ㅤ 3. Revisit old or abandoned projects. Coming back to old ideas can help you recalibrate your focus and vision. It may serve as a reminder as to what you want out of your work and how you want to develop your brand/practice/business to reflect your values. ㅤ 4. Take time to refresh and replenish. Take some time for self-care and do the things you enjoy. Stepping away from your professional life to check in with yourself can make you aware of what helps you regain motivation and energy. ㅤ Motivation looks different for everyone, and finding what it takes to re-light that spark during the lulls can be difficult. I’d love to hear what you do to stay motivated or recharge your batteries when things slow down in the comments below! ㅤ #motivationtips #careertips #leadershiptips #mindfulness

Let's face it, everyone thinks they're ready for that promotion sooner than they might be, which can lead to some pretty uncomfortable conversations during the annual review process. Here are two strategies that can help minimize the angst and frustrations typically associated with these conversations. 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘍𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺: 𝘚𝘦𝘵 𝘊𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘌𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘋𝘢𝘺 𝘖𝘯𝘦 Give every employee a roadmap to success with a matrix of responsibilities and competencies for their current role and the next level. Be crystal clear on the percentage of markers needed for promotion. Transparency is key! 𝘉𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘦... ▪ Everyone will be on the same page from the start ▪ There will be clearly communicated promotion criteria ▪ Everyone will have aligned goals and expectations 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘚𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘺: 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘌𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 Don't wait for the year-end review to let them know that they will not be promoted. Use regular 1:1 meetings to discuss wins, growth, progress, and expectations. Keep everyone in the loop, avoiding last-minute surprises. 📍 𝘙𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘳 No matter where you are in the conversation, or communication process, be empathetic with your team members. Acknowledge and validate where they are, and if there haven't been clear expectations set, apologize and provide them so that they know what to expect moving forward. Ready to tackle annual review conversations with confidence? Head to my website and check out my most blog "Performance Reviews Don't Have To Suck" for all the insider tips! Link in comments.

Navigating the Holiday Season with Confidence: The holiday season can be tough--especially when you're leading a team or trying to meet end-of-year deadlines--but you have the power to own it! Here are three tips to help you shine bright this holiday season: 1. Ask the Magic Question: Don't forget to check in with yourself amidst the chaos. Ask, "What would make me feel best in this situation?" Define your boundaries, from taking time off to when you're willing to begin new projects and do what feels best for you. 2. Don't take it personally: Fear of judgment? Let it go. People's actions and words are about them, not you. Breathe, check in with yourself, and align with your core values. What triggers you, and how can you respond authentically? Focus on yourself and enjoy the present moment. 3. Get really clear in your core values: Distinguish between fear-based and core values. Fear-based decisions feel icky; core values bring joy. Prioritize what aligns with your core values, making choices effortless. If unsure of your values, take the time to discover them using the free values assessment under the "resources" tab on my website. Remember, you don't have to go through this alone. Asking for help is a strength. Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and confident holiday season. #burnout #endofyear #endofyearreviews #quarterfour #tipsforq4

"I felt like I was out on a raft with a volleyball named Wilson, going nuts with stress and dehydration in the middle of the ocean, and Jenn just walked up and said, 'Hey, reality check, you're in the shallow end of a public pool, you can definitely touch the bottom, and you can get out whenever you want.' THANK YOU for the perspective!" Witnessing impactful paradigm shifts in clients, where challenges transform into opportunities, is incredibly rewarding. It's a reminder of the profound impact mindful leadership coaching can have on your life and your perspective. If you're ready to begin your own transformative journey or are simply curious about working with a coach, the door is wide open.
