Lots to dig into with this new research from 84.51˚:
🥗 People *want* to prepare food at home (mostly to save $$ and for healthier meals).
🍜 But lack of time, inspiration, and high expectations (folks crave restaurant-quality food at home) often get in the way.
🧆 60% of shoppers (at least in this survey) turn to store websites/apps for inspiration (vs. 46% who look to social media, 37% who turn to cookbooks, and to a lesser degree, store emails, blogs, and brands).
Closing that gap can be a sweet spot for retailers and brands that can offer high-value, timesaving, budget-conscious, big-flavor solutions. This doesn't have to entail rolling out new product. It can be as simple as tweaking the messaging around existing options. Sometimes great solutions are hiding in plain sight!
