The Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) is the 501 (c) (3) national non-profit organization building a strong community of CDT volunteers, enthusiasts and supporters who want to see the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT) completed and protected. Our mission is to create a community committed to constructing, promoting, and protecting, in perpetuity, the CDT, which stretches from Canada to Mexico, through Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico. With less than 2 weeks left in the year, we are looking ahead to 2025 and what is sure to be one of CDTC’s most ambitious years yet. 🎉 🚶♀️ Strategic Vision Unveiling: With the input of hundreds of stakeholders, CDTC’s new guiding document will launch in January to shape the next 5 years of trail protection! 🌲 Trail Enhancements with GAOA: Pending congressional budget approval, a once-in-a-generation investment in the CDT will begin in March, 2025 through the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA). Client Spotlight: How lucky I am to work with Continental Divide Trail Coalition! I am so grateful for connecting with CDTC back in December 2023. They had posted about their search for a designer to help with their Congressional Report, and I threw my name in the hat. I was so excited to be chosen because as a fellow hiker, I truly support their organization's purpose of protecting and promoting the Continental Divide Trail, and to be inclusive of all hikers while doing so. The projects I've had the opportunity to collaborate on have been some of my favorites because they combine two things that I love working on: page layout and infographics. We've been able to create visuals that distill complex data down into something not only more digestible but also more visually fun (and on-brand, of course)! I've had the pleasure of working on their Congressional Report as well as an annual report, volunteer mailer, handouts, and two Passages Magazines.
