🌍 Cool Climate Collective friends & network, we need your help! 🚀 Our Managing Partner, Mehrad is poised to take the stage at SOCAP Global's Open, bringing a groundbreaking keynote on our CLMX project's 'eco-absurdist' approach to climate action. This talk, which builds upon and refines Mehrad's original thesis and presentations on the subject from 2023, will delve deeply into how 'purposeful pranks' can bridge the gap between profit and planet. By challenging the status quo with humor and ingenuity, it promises to offer a unique perspective on addressing climate challenges (especially considering the impact oriented thought leaders in attendance). We'll explore the edges of financial innovations, biodiversity, climate tech, and justice through the lens of eco-absurd storytelling. This is about igniting a spark in public and investor awareness, highlighting the climate technologies that are ready for deployment today. 📣 But here's where we need you: This session is up for a vote, and every single click counts. It just takes 5 seconds to support the session at SOCAP Open. 👉 Vote here: https://lnkd.in/ddEjGUnv Every vote and share is appreciated!

Fresh from my first experience at the World Economic Forum in Davos, I am eager to share the myriad of insights and experiences that have shaped my perspective on our world's most pressing issues. This forum, often seen as the bastion of policymakers and political leaders, surprised me with its rich diversity of thought and innovation. In this vibrant landscape, I encountered a blend of global policymakers, visionary entrepreneurs, and leading intellectuals. As someone rooted in the pragmatic world of hands-on execution and innovation, the experience was an eye-opener. It allowed me to explore how my skills and perspectives intersect with global dialogues on crucial topics like climate action, AI, space exploration, and more. 🌍 Climate Action: The discussions at Davos brought a new depth to the urgency of climate action. From exploring the complexities of carbon pricing to attending thought-provoking talks with leaders like Al Gore, the forum was abuzz with ideas on operationalizing commitments made at recent events like COP28. 🧠 AI+: The future of AI and its intersection with other technologies was a recurring theme. Insights from thought leaders like Sam Altman and Bill Gates, offered a glimpse into AI's transformative potential in our everyday lives and its crucial role in future innovation. 🛰️ Space Exploration: The space sector discussions highlighted critical junctures in exploration and privatization, sparking conversations about the future of shared international assets like the ISS and the role of regions like the GCC in spearheading space initiatives. As I reflect on these discussions, I am inspired by the opportunities and challenges at the intersection of these diverse fields. The journey ahead is complex, yet rich with potential for impactful solutions. I extend my gratitude to everyone I met for the enlightening conversations and camaraderie. To those I may have inadvertently left out, I welcome your inputs to continue this dialogue.
