Providing care and support for patients and their loved ones dealing with terminal illness in Cornwall, UK.

About us

Cornwall Hospice Care is a 24/7 UK healthcare charity that provides compassionate, specialised end of life care for patients, their families and carers. Together with our local community, we aim to ensure every day matters to those whose lives we touch. We offer inpatient care at Mount Edgcumbe and St Julia’s Hospices, Lymphoedema clinics, community support hubs, and bereavement services. This is free, thanks to the Cornish community, who’ve generously supported our work for over four decades.

📢 "We are maintaining services, as we’re incredibly well supported by the public […] but each year it becomes more difficult and we absolutely do not want to put our services at risk" - a quote from our Chief Executive here at Cornwall Hospice Care during a Radio Cornwall interview this weekend, responding to the current news about Hospice funding. You can help us to continue caring for Cornwall. Whether you choose us as your charity of the year, give some time volunteering for us or take part in one of our events (did someone say skydive?!), there's loads of ways to support us! ➡️ listen back: https://lnkd.in/e6EZWKAm (2.09hrs onwards) ➡️ find out how to support us: https://lnkd.in/e66-VA_w ➡️ message me to book in a chat over a coffee in the New Year

  • Thank you to Richard and the team at Cornwall's Rewind Radio for raising an incredible £6529.66 in support of our hospices with an inspiring 48 hour Radiothon! “One word can be used to describe this event and the generosity of Cornwall – Overwhelming. I went through every emotion, and weeks later, it still hasn’t sunk in. The support of my wife, children, family, the entire team at Cornwall’s Rewind Radio, Shane Solomon from Corker Media who streamed the event, every business who sponsored the event or donated to the auction and raffle, and listeners who supported us is something I can never thank enough for. We’re thrilled to have been able to support HD Livin', Cornwall Hospice Care and Penhaligon’s Friends, who provide crucial resources for our community.” - Richard Woods, MD of Cornwall's Rewind Radio.
