What Does It Actually Mean to Love Yourself? Loving yourself is often talked about, but its true meaning can be elusive. At its core, self-love is about building a compassionate, respectful relationship with yourself—acknowledging your worth as inherently valuable, not tied to achievements or perfection. It’s about showing up for yourself every day with kindness, patience, and honesty. When you ask for what you need, you allow others to honor you, and when you offer what you can from the heart, you create deeper connections. Loving yourself presupposes that you are whole, even as you grow, and invites the world to reflect that care back to you. But how do you practice self-love? A Simple Action to Try Today Write a list of 100 things you absolutely, flipping LOVE LOVE LOVE! Not just things you like—this list is for what makes your heart sing. Put it somewhere visible—on the counter, your desk, or another high-traffic spot. Take your time. Add to it daily, no rush. Stretch yourself. The first 20 are easy; by 100, you’ll uncover unexpected treasures. Each time you add to the list, say out loud: “HEAVEN YES, I LOVE THIS!” Let the joy grow stronger and remind your unconscious mind of what matters most to you. Why This Matters This practice isn’t just about making a list—it’s about reconnecting with love itself. By focusing on what you adore, you reactivate the love already inside you, reminding yourself it’s always there. This list is uniquely yours—a celebration of your individuality, joy, and values.
