What a way to kick off the holiday season! 🎄 We were honored to be chosen by USDA Forest Service as a stop for this year's U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree on it's journey from Alaska to Washington, D.C.! Thank you to Joyce Beatty, our partners at USDA and all of our neighbors for coming together to make this day so special. The People's Tree— now adorned with an ornament designed by a local Columbus student and an ornament shouting out your local science center— is off to The Maryland Theatre next!

Thanks to everyone that joined us for last night's Color of Science panel! We loved getting to hear from these STEAM professionals as they discussed their career path, passion for science, and the ways they're paving the way for future scientists. Thank you to our panelists, Justin Kershaw, Capt. David Murray & Dr. Melita Moore, for their time and expertise!

Our expert jurors selected their favorites from the submissions to our recent Jurassic Art contest— and this weekend we were proud to celebrate them! After our awards ceremony & reception, these artists of all ages were able to see their piece hanging in our museum and explore the exhibit that inspired it all.🦖 Stop by to support these local creatives— and vote for who you think should win People's Choice! T. rex: The Ultimate Predator, and this corresponding art exhibit, will only be here through March 2. 🧡 Congratulations to all of these exhibiting artists!
