Happy to celebrate our member agency, Community Counseling and Mediation & their President & CEO, Doug Brooks! We look forward to our continued work together & congratulate CCM for this great choice!
Meet Doug Brooks, LCSW-R, CCM’s new President and Chief Executive Officer! Doug has a rich history within the CCM family starting in the late 1990s after he received his MSW from the Columbia School of Social Work and we believe he will take our organization to new heights as we navigate providing excellent services to New Yorkers in need. His extensive experience in Children’s Services, Psychotherapy, Supportive Housing and educating the next generation of Social Workers at the NYU Silver School of Social Work poises CCM for an exciting time in our history. We look forward to growing with a phenomenal leader at the helm as we enter this new and innovative phase. Thank you, Doug, for your dedication to CCM and welcome to the team in this new capacity! 💚

Nonprofits are the backbone of New York City, often stepping in as first responders to challenges like food insecurity, affordable housing, and childcare. Yet their contributions are often overshadowed by challenges like chronic underfunding and delayed city payments. Children’s Aid President & CEO Phoebe Boyer’s letter in Crain’s highlights the need for cross-sector collaboration and fair funding practices to allow nonprofits to support New Yorkers effectively. Together, we can build a stronger, more resilient city. Subscribers to Crain’s New York can read Phoebe’s full letter to the editor here: https://lnkd.in/efkaq6jq #ChildrensAidNYC #Nonprofits #NonProfitLeadership #Collaboration #CrainsNY
