4 steps for adding GenAI to your workflow (CEO-approved process) ⬇️ You can use GenAI tools like ChatGPT and Google Gemini to discover ways to increase your efficiency at work. Here’s a step-by-step guide from Coursera CEO Jeff Maggioncalda: 1️⃣Write a description of your current job responsibilities, including the tasks, deliverables, and results you drive. 2️⃣Input your job description as context for your GenAI tool with the prompt, “Consider the following job role and reply “I understand the context” but do not explain: [paste your job description]” 3️⃣Prompt the tool to outline your GenAI-powered job role. Try something like, “Compose a comprehensive plan for incorporating GenAI into my job role to enhance efficiency.” 4️⃣Review and edit your proposed plan and start planning what you’ll do with all the time you’ll save! For this exercise, remember to only use GenAI tools that are approved by your organization and stick to general descriptions of your job role. As a data scientist and AI engineer at IBM, Sina Nazeri embraces a growth mindset and an openness to new experiences in order to fuel his success in a constantly changing industry. “I have a daily markdown note with two key sections: ‘What made you happy today?’ and ‘What did you learn today?’” he says. “Reflecting on what made me happy helps me identify the aspects of my work that I am passionate about, guiding me toward projects and tasks that align with my interests and strengths. It also helps me internalize new knowledge and skills daily. For example, if I encounter a challenging data set and learn a new data-wrangling technique to handle it, I note it down. Over time, this habit has built a knowledge base I can refer back to.” Visit the link for more of Nazeri’s insights, including the skills, tools, and traits he’s found most valuable in his tech career. https://bit.ly/4fHGeDJ

✍️:”What resources or support are offered to parents returning from leave? This population is often most at risk for dramatic impacts on their career upon having children. How [should a business] prepare managers, the [company], and the employee taking leave to be away from the workplace for an extended period of time and subsequently reintegrate?” If there's someone on your team who is returning from parental leave, here's a tip: ditch your assumptions. In this week's episode, working parent advocate Lori Mihalich-Levin talks to us about why that's important. On the show, we also discuss what colleagues can do to support each other and how new parents can plan their own re-entry. Everyone’s journey back to work is going to be different, but the more support we have, the better it’s going to go! 🎧 Listen to episode 11 of Still at Work wherever you get your podcasts or click the link here: https://lnkd.in/eu279z6F 📲 Subscribe, rate and leave us a review on Apple Podcasts ❓Need advice on navigating the workplace?
