Creative Minds Publications is an award-winning educational publishing and literacy consulting company headquartered in Richmond, Virginia. The company publishes engaging, educational, and inspiring books for readers of all ages. The children's books are used in schools, homes, and events in over 26 countries on 6 continents. Kathryn Starke, the founder, is a former inner-city elementary school teacher, reading specialist, and national literacy consultant. She is also the creator of the annual Tackle Reading event supported by the National Football League (NFL). Starke has helped over 200 elementary schools around the country achieve literacy success by helping teachers feel confident and competent in the teaching of reading and writing. While her consulting is primarily referral-based, her educational resources and online seminars are available for any teacher, school, teacher prep program, or homeschooling organization.
