An Immersive Experience in SoHo.. Crescendo Designs transformed a 2500 sq ft SoHo apartment into a high-tech masterpiece. Our team integrated cutting-edge Ketra and Finiré lighting with sleek graphite Alisse keypads to create a sophisticated, immersive living space. These intelligent keypads controlled the entire Savant A\V system, highlighting stunning art pieces like a Kaws sculpture and a Dentoni Lego installation with customizable lighting scenes. The project also introduced exciting hidden elements including a dynamic "Gameday"; setting that brought Savant’s video matrix to life on a new 168” screen and Hidden "Easter Egg Programming: transformed the main living areas with an exciting burst of pink and blue hues. A unique feature of the project was the 3-D custom plaster powder room, which used Lutron technology to recreate a lunar landscape. By pressing the “planet” button, the room transformed with hypertextured walls illuminated in nine different colors, each representing a planet in our solar system. Working closely with architect Sam Robin Design, the Crescendo team ensured that every lighting and A\V detail was seamlessly integrated into the space. From hidden subwoofers in the primary bedroom to a motorized 12-foot projection screen in the living room, this project exemplified the perfect marriage of technology and design, resulting in a luxurious and visually stunning environment deserving of a Lutron Excellence Award. The Crescendo team delivered an elite smart home experience for this client’s home with a comprehensive high-level Savant automation system that seamlessly integrates lighting, shading, audio, and security controls. The project included Lutron lighting control featuring Palladiom keypads, complemented by a range of Lutron shading solutions ensuring sleek design and functionality throughout the space. Audio quality is maximized indoors with James Small Aperture speakers and outdoors with durable James marine-grade pendant speakers and subs. Yesterday we hosted our AIA CEU Lunch & Learn "The Science of Light" at our Southampton Showroom where we explained how interior lighting affects health and well-being, and how to design a space using proper lighting to avoid common lighting problems and optimize lighting for design, function, and well-being.
