The last few weeks at Consorzio Materahub have been intense and full of events, encounters, workshops, trips and residencies. Among them: - We organised the third edition of #MagmaFest, the #materahub fest exploring the connections between art, science, culture and technology. This year the focus it has been on building *Alliances for the Future*. #Alliances between different sectors (For-profit, Ngo's, Public bodies, Research institutes) to cope with the #green and #digital transition, thus promoting the development of our communities. For this edition of Magma, we also hosted an art residency, during which the artists in residence had the opportunity to explore various forms of #cities: of cracks, plants, migration and Music. - Last week, we were in Cyprus, for an event/workshops promoted by the Anna Lindh Foundation, Organisation for European Programmes & Cultural Relations | ΟΕΠΠΣ, in collaboration with Materahub to strengthen the cultural and creative sector in the #EuroMEd area. On this journey, we met many people working and planning for a more #beautiful, #inclusive and #cohesive Mediterranean [Latin mediterraneus, from medius middle + terra land] Nenad Bogdanovic, Merna Shalash, and many more. - We have launched the first course in Creativity and Innovation (CROP project): The PICC is a European specialisation course integrating Architecture, Economics, Design, Marketing, Social Sciences and Digital Technologies to promote creativity, environmental and cultural sustainability, strengthen community engagement and foster cultural entrepreneurship: “Creativity as a spillover for local development". The cultural and creative sector generates significant economic value, creates jobs and is a breeding ground for innovation, where art, technology and design come together to create new solutions to #contemporarychallenges, The CCI's sector is also a driver for #innovation in social terms, promoting diversity, inclusion and mutual understanding, helping to build more cohesive and resilient societies. The challenges are many, but so are the opportunities to cooperate and find new solutions. This year is almost over, and we are ready for fascinating new projects, challenges and encounters.
