About us

Crossplane is an open source cloud native control plane framework. It helps you build control planes without needing to write code. Crossplane has a highly extensible backend that enables you to orchestrate applications and infrastructure no matter where they run, and a highly configurable frontend that lets you define the declarative API it offers. It was created in 2018 by Bassam Tabbara (founder and CEO of Upbound) and donated to live under the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) in 2020. Today it is an incubating project in CNCF with hundreds of contributors. This page is managed by the Crossplane project maintainers.
