Vineyard Wind 2, a proposed offshore wind project, will bring clean power to Connecticut and create jobs for union members. The project, which will deliver 1,200 MW of clean electricity to New England, will reduce carbon pollution and improve air quality. The project is regionally collaborative, with manufacturing in Providence, RI, operations and maintenance in New Bedford, MA, and construction based in Salem, MA. Vineyard Wind 2 will deepen Connecticut's involvement in the offshore wind industry and create nearly 400 job-years of employment. "I appreciate Vineyard Offshore's commitment to using union labor on this project." - Keith R Brothers, President, Connecticut State Building and Construction Trades Council "Building on Vineyard Offshore's pioneering partnership with Groton-based ThayerMahan to localize its bubble curtain business in New Bedford in support of Vineyard Wind 1, ThayerMahan would support continued development of the company's advanced SeaPicket acoustic monitoring system and its Big Bubble Curtain technology, which mitigates underwater construction noise that could disturb whales and other marine life." - Richard Hine, President, Offshore Energy, ThayerMahan, Inc. What are your thoughts on the proposed Vineyard Wind 2 project and its potential impact on Connecticut's economy and clean energy future?

"Early voting is underway in Connecticut, with an overwhelming turnout. It’s a great time to take a closer look at an astonishingly wide partisan divide in America — one that is even bigger in Connecticut — over the degree to which voters are confident that votes in the 2024 presidential election will be counted accurately." ~Mark Pazniokas, CT Mirror capitol bureau chief https://lnkd.in/eNPDNrJ5
