Cumberland Landscape Group is a regional, full-service landscaping company.
About us
Cumberland Landscape Group is a regional commercial landscape company with its headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and with hopes of further expanding across the Southeast in the coming years. The company's roots date back to performing as the in-house landscape group for Equity Residential, but we have been fortunate to grow outside of Equity over the years to now include all asset classes. We are a group of dedicated professionals with decades of landscape experience, and our competitive advantage is our deep desire to listen to the needs of our clients and to deliver creative solutions to achieve their goals. Our Culture is based around treating people the way we ourselves want to be treated. We do this by doing what is "right" versus what might always be the most profitable, and when we make mistakes, which are inevitable, we apologize and work to make sure things are corrected. No one is flawless, so we make sure to own that fact and make sure things are correct in the end. We want to be the best landscaping company in the market. We are one of the largest, locally owned landscaping companies, and we pride ourselves on our three core values of the Cumberland Culture: 1. Transparency: We engage in open, honest and appropriate sharing of information and feedback in all aspects of our business. 2. Respect: We live the golden rule through our commitment to always treat people the way we would want to be treated. 3. Teamwork: We are collectively committed to the success of the company and one another, and are fully accountable for ‘my part of the whole’.

Poinsettias are native to Mexico, where they grow as shrubs or small trees that can reach up to 15 feet tall. The Aztecs used poinsettias for practical purposes. The bright red bracts were used to make dye, and the sap was used as a fever treatment. Poinsettias prefer temperatures between 60°F and 70°F and are sensitive to cold drafts. They thrive in bright, indirect sunlight and need consistent, but not excessive, watering. Contrary to popular belief, poinsettias are not highly toxic. They can cause mild irritation or upset stomach in pets and humans if ingested in large quantities. #poinsettias #plantcare #cumberlandlandscapegroup

We get many questions from our HOA and commercial clients about winterizing hydrangeas. Georgia's winters usually involve occasional frosts rather than prolonged deep freezes. So we recommend 2-4 inches of light mulch around the base to protect them. For Big Leaf and Oak Leaf Hydrangeas, we do not recommend pruning in the winter as this will remove the flower buds set for the spring. You can prune Panicle and Smooth Hydrangeas in late winter. #winterizinghydrangeas #hydrangeas #georgiawinter #hoalandscaping #commerciallandscaping #landscapingmaintenance #cumberlandlandscapegroup

Water features are integral to landscape architecture. In commercial landscaping, they serve both aesthetic and functional purposes, enhancing the appeal of spaces like office parks, retail centers, and multifamily residential developments. #waterfeatures #commerciallandscaping #urbanrevitalization #landscapedesign #landscaping #cumberlandlandscapegroup
Peavey Plaza | Minneapolis, USA | Coen+Partners - https://lnkd.in/geQheEdH Rehabilitating this masterpiece of brutalist architecture involved a detailed examination of the original design. Restoring the cascading fountains was key to creating a sense of renewal and revitalization. Select terraced lawns were reinstated while others were replaced with permeable pavers for increased accessibility and stormwater management. Site furniture, steel sculptures, and light fixtures were either restored or recreated. The use of board-formed concrete finishes on new walls seamlessly integrates with the original design. #landscapearchitecture #minneapolis Coen+Partners

Retail therapy comes with a fire pit! Fire pits can be an excellent addition to retail commercial properties. They create a cozy ambiance, encourage customers to linger longer, and can even enhance outdoor spaces for events or dining. Gas fire pits are ideal for commercial use due to their cleanliness, ease of operation, and safety. They require minimal maintenance and are compliant with many local fire codes. Consider built-in seating or surrounding areas with comfortable outdoor furniture to encourage customer use. #retail #retailproperty #commercialproperty #firepits #firefeatures #commerciallandscpaing #propertymanagement #landscapedesign #landscapingmaintenance #cumberlandlandscapegroup

It is December and winter is officially here. ❄️ With the frost, it is always important to evaluate your landscaping. Remove dead or frost-bitten branches from trees and shrubs to prevent disease spread. As for your lawn, look for signs of frost heaving, where soil is pushed up. Reseed damaged lawns in the spring. #winter2024 #landscapingtips #lawncare #propertymanagement #landscaping #landscapingmaintenance #cumberlandlandscapegroup
