Connecting with our inner child—remembering what once motivated us, calmed us, and excited us—is key to understanding the best path forward. For the past eight years, I’ve been on a journey of becoming who the little version of me in this picture—the little girl holding the cat—was always meant to be. The beauty of personal development and self-evolution is that it requires us to look inward, to examine what’s truly in our hearts—the gifts, possibilities, and patterns that have been with us since the beginning. How do we reconnect with our guiding lights, embrace them, and let them shine brighter as we grow into ourselves? How do we deposit more of our inherent gifts into the world and recognize that who we are meant to be—and the stories we are meant to embody, amplify, and live—have always been calling out to us? The answer: we can choose to listen. We can answer that call. We can become brilliance. That’s my personal goal and the theme for Curated Brilliance in 2025: Becoming Brilliance. I want to be who this child was created to be—before any person, place, or circumstance caused her to question herself, doubt her gifts, or accept limitations that were never hers to carry.
