  • Often times when someone comes into our office looking for help with a problem they have in adulthood— perhaps avoidance, addiction, attachment issues, anxiety, among many others— we want to notice how these adult “problems” were actually developed in childhood and are solutions and defenses that were developed to stay safe. When we can view our problems through this lens, and see how our brains and bodies have always worked to protect us, we can approach our situations with curiosity and care instead of judgement and shame. -Maybe you have problems attaching to partners, or get overly anxious - Perhaps you hold your emotions inside and struggle to open up - Is there an addiction or compulsive behavior that is driving your life? Many of our adult problems (or adaptations) can be linked back to our childhood and healed through an approach of care and compassion. We are here to help you make sense of your childhood, see how it may still be impacting your adulthood, and teach your body to feel safe enough to drop your defenses and solutions. Interested in starting your therapy journey or learning more? Reach out to us today for a free 15-minute phone consultation.

I’m happy to share that earlier this year, I completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) through The Center for Excellence in EMDR Therapy and have already seen incredible results with clients. EMDR has become a powerful tool in my work, particularly for parents seeking to break cycles of generational trauma and show up more fully for their families. I’m excited to expand my focus on EMDR to help clients resolve past experiences that continue to impact their well-being and relationships. 🌱 🛋
