Surveillance during the holidays can be beneficial considering all the work parties, family gatherings, or events like a community tree lighting or ballet. This is especially true if you have received information on a specific claimant attending a gathering or holiday activity. Social media is often helpful as others can see when claimants have agreed to an invite. Here are a few things to keep in mind about surveillance: ✅ INITIAL COMMUNICATION: Good initial communication before the surveillance allows our team to understand what you need and what the expectations are. ✅ CLAIMANT AWARENESS: Sometimes a claimant will be aware of their surroundings making it difficult to maintain “cover”. Other times our investigators can follow close behind them and the surveillance is smooth. Our investigators assess each situation for optimal results. ✅ Location: Setting up surveillance in a rural area with no cover can be just as problematic as highly congested city surveillance. Knowing the limitations for each, investigators determine options and solutions to maximize opportunities. ✅ HOLIDAY/WINTER TRAFFIC: Winter holiday traffic can be very congested, especially traffic in parking lots, as well as slow/unsure motorists driving in winter weather conditions. This is why our team carefully reviews the areas being surveilled and if needed, two investigators can cover surveillance to better manage a successful outcome.
