  • Earlier this year, Custom Culinary® and parent company Griffith Foods® released our 2030 Sustainability Aspirations, which provides a roadmap for our ambitious sustainability plans in the years ahead. We also released our 2023 Sustainability Report to showcase our progress on creating sustainable food system networks, developing a nutritious and sustainable portfolio, and creating new markets and serving the underserved.   • As we approach the close of another year, we’d like to look back and highlight some memorable moments of 2024. Back in May, Custom Culinary® unveiled its new sustainable office environment, which included a Flex Farm indoor garden from Fork Farms. The next month, the team gathered for their first harvest luncheon where the office enjoyed a build-your-own salad bar featuring our homegrown sustainable greens, herbs, and vegetables. Since then, the team has enjoyed regular harvests for our culinary team in the test kitchen and for our employees to utilize in their own home cooking. "I love the connection this creates between the growing of fresh produce and the food our chefs are serving,” said Chef Michael Manno, “This is a great way to build community and incorporate seasonal vegetables and herbs into our recipe development.” #CreateBetterTogether #CustomCulinary #OurPeople #Sustainability #IndoorGarden #ForkFarms #Hydroponic #FarmToTable

  • As we approach the close of another year, we’d like to look back and highlight some memorable moments of 2024. Custom Culinary® is a proud partner of the non-profit The Global Opportunity (GO) Fund, which promotes the empowerment and enrichment of the lives of women and children in Africa through educational, social support, and entrepreneurial projects. Custom Culinary is committed to sharing our knowledge of farming and food business with the Buyers Edge Farming, Culinary & Entrepreneurial Center in Kenya. The goal is to create a partnership with Sustainable Food Entrepreneurs in Africa and provide the training and resources they need to succeed. In 2024, Custom Culinary's financial contributions helped fund the garden and the addition of livestock, including chickens and dairy cows, to support and feed the community in Kenya. Inspired by our founding sponsorship for the community garden, other sponsors have joined to develop a new restaurant concept called Mama Sarah’s Kitchen that broke ground in August 2024. It will help feed 16,500 Kisii people while providing a much-needed gathering space. As a company, we are committed to being stewards of people and the planet. We will continue working together in the future to support their capacity to serve their communities while launching sustainable development projects that will carry on their work for years and generations to come. #CreateBetterTogether #CustomCulinary #Sustainability#OurPeople

  • As we approach the close of another year, we’d like to look back and highlight some memorable moments of 2024. In July 2024, our talented culinary team met in Toronto for a collaborative training session. Chefs were introduced to the latest Custom Culinary products and brainstormed creative new applications together. They also sampled iconic Canadian dishes on a Toronto food-scene tour, which was an inspiring and tasty team bonding experience. One highlight was a visit to Black Creek Farm, where we had the opportunity to engage with Chef Bashir and cook in the urban agricultural center outdoor kitchen. During our time at the farm, we engaged with local youth, learned more about local and sustainable farming practices, and experimented with new crops – including indigenous African crops. #CreateBetterTogether #CustomCulinary #Sustainability #CulinaryTeam #Chefs #OurPeople

  • As we approach the close of another year, we’d like to take a look back and highlight some memorable moments of 2024. Back in May, Custom Culinary® moved into a new office space in Lombard, Illinois. Electric vehicle chargers, Bevi Smart Water Dispensers, and a Fork Farms hydroponic garden to grow our own greens and herbs, are among the sustainable features that were planned and built into the space.
