  • Harnessing Technology for Smarter Project Management At DCPM, we leverage cutting-edge technology to support councils with disaster recovery, asset inspections, project delivery, condition assessments, and more. In this example, we’re using drone technology to create a “digital twin” of a culvert construction project. This model provides a dimensionally accurate view that allows our clients to measure lengths, widths, volumes, and areas remotely. The result? Enhanced transparency and trust between client and contractor—without the need for constant on-site supervision. From high-resolution aerial imagery to terrain models, AutoCAD DWG files, and elevation data, we deliver a suite of actionable insights to streamline your projects. With team members based across QLD, regional NSW, and Victoria, DCPM is ready to deploy quickly to meet your needs. Get in touch to discover how our innovative approach can make a difference in your next project. #dcpm #dronetechnology #drfa

  • What is NEMA's National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework? The National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework and Australia’s National Strategy for Disaster Resilience provide the overarching frameworks guiding the National Emergency Management Agency’s work to reduce disaster risk and improve Australia’s resilience. The National Disaster Risk Reduction Framework, unveiled in April 2019, serves as the cornerstone of our nation's strategy to mitigate disaster risks and bolster resilience. It establishes the groundwork for coordinated action across sectors, ensuring a comprehensive approach to addressing both existing and emerging risks. Aligned with the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, the 2030 vision is clear: to cultivate a society where every sector is empowered to make informed decisions, be accountable for risk reduction, and invest in resilience-building measures. The launch of the Second National Action Plan on 25 August 2023 serves as a blueprint for collective action and was developed in consultation with stakeholders including industry, academia, non-governmental organisations, communities, Commonwealth agencies and local, state and territory governments. With strategies centred around understanding risk, fostering accountability, enhancing investment, and strengthening governance, the plan is to create a safer, more resilient Australia. #DisasterResilience #RiskReduction #NEMA

  • At DCPM, we are committed to giving back to organisations that support disaster-impacted communities. Our Director & DRFA Program Manager, John Tuxworth, was recently honoured to present a donation to Disaster Relief Australia (DRA), an extraordinary non-profit that unites the skills and experience of military veterans and other volunteers to help communities prepare for and recover from disasters. Since its inaugural mission to Proserpine in 2017, DRA has inspired many by integrating veterans with volunteers from all walks of life to create a unique and impactful disaster recovery capability. Today, it has grown into a national and global force, with more than 4900 volunteers and 10 local Disaster Relief Teams, bringing hope and relief to those most in need. DRA’s mission extends beyond disaster relief. It empowers veterans to transition beyond military service, offering opportunities to grow and continue their legacy of service. DCPM shares DRA’s commitment to leadership, integrity, teamwork, and determination. We are proud to support DRA’s mission and encourage others to join in making a difference. To learn more about DRA and their inspiring initiatives, visit its website. Together, we can contribute to a stronger, more resilient future. #DisasterReliefAustralia #DRA #Resilience
