Women's pro sports are finally getting the respect and fans they deserve! We were thrilled to work with the Athletes Unlimited on the identities of their four inaugural teams launching in Spring 2025. Creating teams not linked to geographic region for the launch and avoiding duplication was a thrilling challenge. We drew upon powerful forces and the athletes as our inspiration, with identities that have inherent tension and will evoke more meaning when fans make them their own. Werther's Original is today's Invention in PR hero. I'll bet they had a consumer insight about their candies frequently being carried in pants pockets because they don't melt. Specifically that little jean pocket often referred to as a condom pocket, which was originally designed to hold your pocket watch. (Remember, jeans have been around a long time.) Werther's chose October (National Caramel Month) to break out of their category and play in the fashion space, unveiling these fall-themed beauties -- "Werther's Original Pocket Denim" -- complete with 30 pockets down the side to hold your Werther's Original candies. This isn't AI-generated art, this is real. And it's an #InventionInPR Type 1, because these jeans have a function like no other jeans. The story has already earned media in women's lifestyle press like Woman's World. The campaign is only a day old, and it's only going to pick up steam from here.
