Daniyah Zehra Hussain and Amna Zaheer, medical students at Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College, published an article titled 'Advancing cancer care with artificial intelligence: early detection initiatives' in the journal The Evidence under the mentorship of Dr. Ahmad Akhtar. The article reviews the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI), particularly deep learning (DL), in early cancer detection. It highlights key models like Sybil for lung cancer risk prediction, CNN-based models for imaging diagnostics, CAD colonoscopy for real-time adenoma detection, and Paige Prostate Alpha for prostate cancer identification. Amna Zaheer, a volunteer of Darul Qalb, published an article titled "Combating Rheumatic Heart Disease in Pakistan: An Experience of Training, Screening, and Community Outreach" in the International Journal of Medical Students (IJMS), the world's largest medical student journal.
