A chance to partner with Raymond James for a second time to create care packages (hygiene and academic) for #DMV underserved youth was amazing! We created over 370 bags for three schools (Richard Wright Public Charter School for Journalism and Media Arts DUVAL HIGH SCHOOL Walker Mill Middle School). Our chapter is grateful for the partnership and committed to doing more to make a difference in our community. Make sure you checkout the article about the project in the The Washington Informer (our media partner)! #DCBlackMBAA #Education #CAREinDC https://lnkd.in/ehjaQG8j

Our “Taste of DC's political pulse in every bite” Black History Month event at Ben’s Chili Bowl last Thursday was a hit! Attendees enjoyed half-smokes, chili cheese fries, and other Ben’s menu favorites. They had a chance to test their Black History knowledge with trivia questions; prizes included Ben’s merchandise, a Black History Month themed 5-12 “Assorted Dessert Treat Box,” Black MBA swag, and more! The highlight of the event was hearing from Ben’s co-founder, Mrs. Virginia Ali, followed by Q&A. The audience hung onto her every word, and she stole everyone’s hearts! @512dessert and networking afterward wrapped up the evening nicely. Thank you to everyone who attended.
