➡️How Women’s Leadership Breaks Stereotypes and Biases⬅️ Effective change comes with effective leadership. The healthcare industry is rife with systemic barriers that stifle women's potential and perpetuate gender inequality. For example, only about 25 percent of top leadership jobs in healthcare belong to women. In comparison, the healthcare workforce is more than 70 percent female. These statistics reflect a deep-rooted bias against female expertise and authority. If healthcare organizations invest in developing women leaders, they can unlock the full potential of the healthcare workforce. Recent research shows that diverse and inclusive companies are more productive by 35 percent when compared with competitors who have non-diverse leadership. Systems are resistant to change. But individuals comprise the system, so when one person models a different way, change can ripple throughout the organization. Women leaders can be the catalyst for these changes.
