Decade of Education for Road Safety

Education

Effective Education is the foundation driving the greatest road safety countermeasure.

About us

Effective Education is the Greatest Driver of Road Safety The main driver of road safety has always been and still is the driver! unfortunately having received negligible to evidentially zero standardised road user interactional training & education since 1950s, the results are predictable, build a safe system on a faulty foundation and it will never achieve the required outcome, engineering was never capable of designing or training a safe manageable process for each road user interaction whilst changing the delivery methodology to match each humans learning style. more advertising and telling is not an effective education model. As a road safety solution, we present an evidence based solution through effective education that guarantees to reduce the road toll. Solutions 1- Standardised curriculum, a safe management process for each road user interaction. 2- Delivery methodology tailored to each clients learning style 3- Delivered by Coaches trained to a diploma level 4- Delivered in a Graduated Education System GES 5- Success measured against zero injuries post training /testing Crash Causality 1- telling and Advertising the problem is not an effective education system 2- Instruction is not an effective education delivery system 3- Testing without competency based outcomes is not an effective system 4- An education system not managed by the Gov/private education industry is a failed foundation. 5- GLS is trying to solve the problem after it’s released. Humans can drivesafety! a disabler is ineffective teaching system: not Autism-Asperger’s, introvert- Extrovert, Artist-Science, Anxiety-Risk taker, low Iq, Dyslexia, Distractions, Neuordiverse or neurotypical learning styles.

Have you experienced a traumatic injury? Your voice matters! 📢 The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) has worked with experts and people with lived experience to create a list of key things that matter most in recovery from traumatic injuries. Now, we need YOUR input to make sure we’ve captured what’s truly important. By sharing your feedback, you’ll help improve the care people receive worldwide. • More evidence that shows the lack of effective education is not only impacting the driver, but also those who were taught to be drivers by the driving instruction system and then are now engineers who think it’s better to put a flashing light on a car rather to tell the drivers there is something beside you rather than stoping cars from tailgating. Simple education may well have impacted the entire industry. It’s staggering to think the technology has been around for a long time and it’s still not part of Anne camp and every road safety or philosophy therefore forcing the government to make it legislation and part of every car imagine the lives and the road trauma savings.

The most preventable and easiest to prevent crash and yet it’s the most common crash why ? ANCAP SAFETY does not have this as part of a five star rating. How can a car be a five star rated car when the number one most common crash on our road is not part of its accreditation car manufacturers don’t have it as part of their system and allow drivers to change the following distance when using active/adaptive cruise control Have you ever heard a road safety org actively advocating for this simple solution? You can pass a driving test in Australia and New Zealand and be tailgating We surveyed 1100 driving instructors it’s not part of their training

  • road crashes keep coming back to lack of education and engineering thinking they have the only solutions.

is the issue with indicators being a crash causality? 1- The engineering design of indicators that has made finding the indicator a wheres wally issue to find it or even see it easily, this is causing drivers to stop looking for it thinking no ones indicating , then subconsciously not using them because they believe others are not indicating. see video on indicators> https://lnkd.in/gA9wgiRk 2- Why have we not got wrap around indicators that are visible from all angles? seems simple to have greater visibility not less, indicators are smaller and almost hidden as above video shows> engineers????? 3- The training and education was not effective, Is communication trained or tested in level 2 and 3 interactions? NO, interestingly we don't self learn what we don't know, although GLS proposes this as an outcome. 4- humans do not like communication ? ( if needing an answer, take a look at the amount of communication occurring in real time now as apposed to 20 years ago) 5# clear and early communication/indication is not needed and is not a crash causality when interacting with pedestrians, cyclists, scooters, motor cyclists, cars, trucks and busses. 🧐

It is better to train the driver to avoid the crash causalities or the million kms of road they will travel to reduce the outcomes. Fact 1, we do not train heavy vehicle drivers to identify or manage each road user interaction as a process, football players receive more training on a process for each interaction than bus drivers. idrivesafety, so you can!

How sad is our engineering managed road system that pot holes have become so abundant that road safety has evolved into a joke competition. They say follow the money trial, if thats true then lasts look at the two money trails: >whats not funded 1- Pot hole repairs 1.5- engineers can not design or build roads that still work when it rains, sunny, dark, light or when cars, trucks, busses, cycles and humans use, them surely with all the inventions over the last 2000 years a road could be built that lasts, even a guarantee that lasts longer than a tv. 2- road side grasses mowed before being higher than the cars. Apparently we understand that grasses grow so surely we can set a scheduled mowing plan, ask jims. 3- separated cycle paths, we are building new suburbs and still not separating vulnarable road users, 4- standardised performance based graduated education for drivers, it 2024 and we still have engineering managing a flawed system that is based on 1950s theory 5- antiquated traffic light managment system that was designed in the 1930s that could be managed by ai tomorrow, allowing real time controlled traffic movement, imagine NOT sitting at a red light waiting for no one comming from the other road whilst your light stays red or a serious traffic flow stops for one car. (Elon Musk Tesla Automotive Inc or Bill Gates please help, imaging the reduction in batteries and fossel fuels) >What’s being funded 1- engineers and lots of them. 2- wire rope barriers 3- road side signs 4- tv ads 5 - politions saying “hey we are fixing pot holes” 6- humans painting circles around pot holes
