Dekker is a multidisciplinary architecture firm with offices in Albuquerque, New Mexico; Phoenix, Arizona; and El Paso, Texas. We understand that great architecture requires partnership between everyone involved in the meaningful work of creating spaces for people. We act as a conduit between all partners on our projects, using our expertise to serve our clients and their communities. Dekker provides the expertise needed to see a project to success, including in-house architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, planning and structural engineering teams. We recently attended the groundbreaking for the Lea County Event Center. This 27,000sf addition to the existing Event Center adds a new facade, lobby, meeting rooms, display areas, mezzanine, and VIP rooms that overlook the arena, in addition to new outdoor amenities. In attendance at were Lea County Manager Mile Gallagher, Event Center Director Jim Kemp, Facilities Director Edmundo Lara, City of Hobbs Mayor Sam Cobb, Dr. Steve McCleery, and Dr. Derek Moore. Last Friday, Dekker was thrilled to join Netflix in celebrating a NAIOP New Mexico Chapter Eagle Award for Netflix Studios Albuquerque. The award recognizes this development project for its positive impact on our local community and state! With nearly 500,000sf of new construction, the expanded campus includes sound stages + stage support, mill buildings, and a 4-story production office building, representing a major expansion for the studio’s flagship location. Modern amenities, like a 30-person screening room, accommodate a wide variety of production needs, while maximizing sustainability through features like a geothermal system, EV charging stations, and a five megawatt solar array with battery storage.
