About us
About the DVACO The Delaware Valley Accountable Care Organization (DVACO) is a payer agnostic, risk-bearing entity that is a joint venture between two area health systems: Jefferson Health and Main Line Health, as well as the national payer Humana. As one of the first area payvider entities and the region's largest accountable care organization, DVACO serves the communities of the Greater Philadelphia region and Southern New Jersey. The DVACO is firmly rooted in our mission to advance the quintuple aim: better health outcomes, better experiences for patients and for providers, lower costs in healthcare, and advancement of health equity. DVACO achieves our goals through close collaboration with physicians and other providers as well as payers to maximize the health and wellness of our communities while focusing on appropriate resource utilization. DVACO has had success in the highest risk track (Enhanced Risk) of the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), and holds numerous large risk contracts with governmental and private payers to serve over a quarter million members / beneficiaries. The DVACO network continues to grow and includes over 2,000 physicians, 20 hospitals, multiple post-acute care entities including skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, and hospices. Our culture embraces innovation of healthcare delivery models through collaborative work with physician practices, health systems and employee wellness programs.
